6,000 Facebook ‘Likes’ in 18 months

About The London Cat Clinic:

The London Cat Clinic, based in Bermondsey, London opened in May 2017 as a brand new, purpose built, independently owned cat only veterinary clinic.

The Challenge:

As a brand new practice, not only did the team need to build brand awareness and grow their client base from nothing, they also had to secure their position as a trusted specialist practice. The London Cat Clinic were also very keen to build relationships with local cat owners and become a part of their community.

What we did / do:

  • Develop social media strategy and launch the Facebook page.

  • Worked with PR partner to create online and offline buzz promoting client registration

  • We continue to manage Facebook posting and regularly create engaging and educational cat-related content, this has included lots of bespoke copywriting.

The Results

Within the first year, The London Cat Clinic achieved over 4500 likes on their Facebook page.

By October 2018, they registered their 1000th kitten and reached 6000 Facebook likes.

As of March 2019, they have 6930 followers and continue to grow in popularity every day.

  • We manage The London Cat Clinic’s Respond and Engage Service. This means whenever someone likes or comments on a post, we can respond and interact with the person on the clinic’s behalf in their tone of voice. This has enabled the clinic to present themselves as a responsive and active part of their community, when they wouldn’t have otherwise had the resources in-house to do so.


One of the biggest successes also included a post which went viral about Bob The Street Cat at the Clinic’s grand opening, reaching over 86,000 unique users.

In addition to the extensive audience reach that Facebook has brought, the impact of the social media activity has helped secure Dr Jeremy’s and the clinic’s position as a feline-specialist clinic and engage a worldwide following.
